FoodCandy is getting popular. We certainly like it.

We get linked a lot. We have been linked from 121 blogs as of February 2008. So we built a system to track bloggers. Click here to see top traffickers.

FoodCandy is the first mention in an article called Food Networking in the June's issue of Bon Appetit (p. 36, by Eric Steinman).

Eric writes:

It was only a matter of time until the social networking craze (think MySpace and Facebook) inspired sites with a foodie focus ... Here's what's out there.

FoodCandy Dubbing itself "Friendster for foodies," FoodCandy is as much of a foodie community as it is a food blog hub. FoodCandy syndicates content from well-known blogs, like FoodPornWatch and Gothamist, and wraps it up as a digest of all the sublime and profane food chatter around.

Eric also talks about ExtraTasty and BakeSpace. We're in good company!

New York Magazine's Grub Street writes

Food Candy is as simple as a baked potato: It's the Foodie Friendster (or, as you cutting-edge types would probably prefer, MySpace). The strange thing about the site is how happy, normal, and attractive the people look."

Laren Spirer writes:

It [FoodCandy] is a recently-launched, multi-functional site that brings together message boards, RSS feeds, restaurant reviews, a food events calendar, and a social networking component ... please link feel free to add us as a friend!

Thanks Laren! You're awesome.

FoodCandy mentioned as a food blog aggregator in Heidi Cool's article entitled Maximize your marketing through blog networks and aggregator sites.
