Organizing an international festival is no weekend affair. Catering to thousands of visitors and hundreds of sponsors means working day and night on logistics, worrying about every detail and watching the countdown to the event melt like butter on a hot pan sizzling with the expectation of delicious organic eggs ...
1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil 2 to 3 large ham steaks, cut in halves  Heat a large skillet, with olive oil. Add the ham steaks and heat through, 1 to 2 minutes on each side.  Ladies and Gentlemen, I give you Ham Steaks by Rachael Ray ...
I knew this month’s Cooking Club Challenge would be popular! Who can resist brownies especially when they are Chef Michael Smith’s Chocolate Banana Brownies? Despite people’s legitimate concerns over calories (in the comments field Bev W did the math and figured 500+ calorie for a piece of brownie!), people are giving this recipe two thumbs way up ...
Last October, when I first brought home Fergus Henderson's Beyond Nose to Tail, I set out to make a bread starter (or, as he calls it, a "mother" to your bread). I stirred flour, water, yogurt and chopped apple together in a bowl, poured it into a quart Mason jar with little holes punched in the lid. Everything went pretty well. Too well, in fact ...

This season is an utter disappointment.  They really dumbed it down to the Rachel Ray level with the gas station shopping and block party, but I was willing to hang in there.  The constant parade of children across my screen is, however, a complete turn off.  I'd rather watch reruns of Kitchen Nightmares.
